Friday Night Movie: A Man Named Pearl

July 25, 2018 | kate

Downtown Friday Films in August!

Join us for a series of movies celebrating the connections created when community is actively nourished and cultivated. Harvester Arts is excited to be one of the community partners chosen to plan a fun evening together centered around creative action. We’ll be screening the documentary A Man Named Pearl which tells the story of Pearl Fryar who over a few decades has created a living topiary sculpture park and garden in Bishopville, South Carolina. We’ll talk about ordinary people creating extraordinary things, watch the film and casually create playful plants while we watch. All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend! Concessions for sale, free childcare & kids activities available.

Friday, August 10th 7 PM

Wilke Family Life Center, 330 N Broadway

The series is organized by the First United Methodist Church. Community partners include Tallgrass Film Association, SoCe Life Neighboring Movement, and the Forum Theatre Company.
