2027 Call for Artists - Solo, Group & Individual Works Welcome
Harvester Arts is now accepting solo and group exhibition proposals and individual artworks from artists at all stages of their careers, including first-time exhibitors, to be considered for curated group exhibitions in our 2027 exhibition calendar.
Join a vibrant community of creatives and help shape a year of dynamic, thoughtful exhibitions.
The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2026. For questions, contact info@harvesterarts.org.
Harvester’s artist-led Programming Committee will select proposals for solo and group shows, and curate group exhibitions based on the individual works submitted. Whether you’re proposing a full exhibition or submitting a few pieces, this is your chance to be part of Harvester’s 2027 lineup.
Harvester Arts is a collaborative, experimental space in Wichita dedicated to inclusive, community-connected exhibitions. We especially encourage submissions from artists and curators who have been historically underrepresented in gallery spaces. All media and genres welcome.

Artist Spotlight
This week, we are spotlighting the dancer Aviance Battles. This photo shows Avi during a performance in Smack Dab Dance Fest, but you also could have have found her this last Friday at the Wichita Art Museum dancing through the galleries of ‘Collidoscope: de la Torre Brothers Retro-Perspective,’ during the WAM Nights Pop Up Party. If you ever get a chance to see Aviance perform, take it.

WAM Nights: Art in Action with Eden Quispe

Join WAM and Harvester Arts to celebrate the run of ‘Eden Quispe: Narrative Threads’ with a collaborative, community-focused workshop. Meet the artist, observe, and join in as she creates a new work of art in-house. This is time for you to watch her process, create alongside her, and ask your burning questions.
Skill Share Studio: A Veteran Art Coalition Workshop

Harvester Arts and the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, NAMI Wichita, COMCARE of Sedgwick County and Live Connected Kansas invite artists — whether they are Veterans, service members, their families, or supporters — to join us for Art for Everyday Wellness, a special workshop dedicated to creating art with purpose.
Featured artist Emily Cass will lead participants in an activity where you create art inspired by looking at and noticing things around you. This mindful art practice can help with coping and promote well-being, as it encourages you to focus on details and colors, and become more aware of your emotions.
All skill levels are welcome — whether you’re a practicing artist or simply want to flex your creative expression. Art supplies will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own materials as well.
This workshop is free and open to the public.
Wichita Forever Fest: Final Fundraiser Show

Wichita Forever Fest presents our final fundraising show at Harvester Arts! Join our team for a night of genre-bending performances to give just a small taste of what’s in store for the festival. Doors open at 5:30 on Saturday, August 8, at Harvester Arts. Show ends at 9:30 p.m. All ages. Bring your friends and come help us raise money to keep Wichita Forever Fest free and safe!

Cure Violence ICT presents: The Space Between Us

The Space Between Us is a powerful conversation about transformation, redemption, and the unexpected friendships that can reshape communities.
Once separated by rivalry and conflict, former gang rivals now stand side by side as Violence Interrupters, proving that healing is possible and that the people closest to the problem are often closest to the solution.
Through personal stories, powerful photographs, spoken word poetry, and music, this event explores the journey from division to unity. Each image serves as a work of art and a window into lived experience, reminding us that while a picture may tell a thousand words, the stories behind those pictures have the power to change lives.
