This July, join the creative movement by sowing some small seeds! Harvester Arts is an artist-led organization that connects creativity with community. Through exhibitions, programs and public projects, we create opportunities for artists to experiment, collaborate, and engage people across Wichita. Our work centers artists as catalysts for connection and change, bringing creative energy into neighborhoods, civic spaces, and everyday life.

Artist Spotlight
This week, we’re spotlighting Skyler Ray and Wren Cox, who collaborated to create an event called Books off the Shelf: An Interactive Event for Book Lovers. For a few hours on Saturday evening, Skyler’s Woven series transformed Harvester Arts into a momentary pit stop for Philo Whitmore, a mystical inter-dimensional jackrabbit collecting stories to fuel his travels. Poets, authors, and book lovers gathered to share their favorite reads and personal creations in this wonderfully whimsical format. The event that wouldn’t have been complete without the jaw-dropping handmade mask and shadow puppetry crafted by the extraordinary Wren Cox.

WAM Nights: Art in Action with Eden Quispe

Join WAM and Harvester Arts to celebrate the run of ‘Eden Quispe: Narrative Threads’ with a collaborative, community-focused workshop. Meet the artist, observe, and join in as she creates a new work of art in-house. This is time for you to watch her process, create alongside her, and ask your burning questions.
Skill Share Studio: A Veteran Art Coalition Workshop
August 8, 2026 | 11 AM - 1 PM | 120 E 1st St N Ste 115 | FREE and open to the public
Harvester Arts and the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, NAMI Wichita, COMCARE of Sedgwick County and Live Connected Kansas invite artists — whether they are Veterans, service members, their families, or supporters — to join us for Art for Everyday Wellness, a special workshop dedicated to creating art with purpose.
Featured artist Emily Cass will lead participants in an activity where you create art inspired by looking at and noticing things around you. This mindful art practice can help with coping and promote well-being, as it encourages you to focus on details and colors, and become more aware of your emotions.
All skill levels are welcome — whether you’re a practicing artist or simply want to flex your creative expression. Art supplies will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own materials as well.
This workshop is free and open to the public.
Wichita Forever Fest: Final Fundraiser Show

Wichita Forever Fest presents our final fundraising show at Harvester Arts! Join our team for a night of genre-bending performances to give just a small taste of what’s in store for the festival. Doors open at 5:30 on Saturday, August 8, at Harvester Arts. Show ends at 9:30 p.m. All ages. Bring your friends and come help us raise money to keep Wichita Forever Fest free and safe!

These object memories are sewn together, painted, and printed on to create quilted collages honoring women whose stitchwork never got its time in the spotlight.
