ICT Soup: CALL FOR PROPOSALS

ICT Soup is Wichita’s community-powered meal that funds artist projects. Launched in 2016 by artist Amanda Pfister and active through 2021, ICT Soup is back as an official Harvester Arts program!

Are you a Wichita-area creative or community builder, 18 + with a project idea?

We encourage proposals from artists & creatives of all backgrounds, disciplines, and experience levels. Proposals may support new ideas, expansions of ongoing work, collaborative/group projects, or professional development for an artist or team. We’re feeling Parking Lot SPOOKY. We are having a Halloween Improv Special on Friday October 17, where we’ll be performing a fully improvised set in our Halloween best. Emo Night!!!

WAM Nights | Shaping Vision: Wichita Painters on Process and Practice

Featuring Sarah Chavez, Rachel Curtis, Sloane Dyer, Mary McCoy, and Kate Van Steenhuyse, and moderated by Chloe Lang, this panel highlights the contributions of Wichita-based women painters while situating their practices within broader art historical dialogues. This program is presented in conjunction with Wichita Art Museum’s current exhibitions Abstract Expressionists: The Women and Framed in Friendship: American Women Artists and Their Networks. Presented in partnership with Harvester Arts as part of the Regional Creatives Series, which connects local creatives to various WAM Nights programs.

Chef Panda Cosplay: Intro to EVA Foam Workshop

10.18 | 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM | $30

Learn the basic ins and outs of using EVA foam to craft props and armor for cosplay. You will also make a bracer and spaulder (shoulder armor). EVA foam and contact cement will be provided. Some knives and heat guns may be available. Supplies needed: exacto and/or box knife, scissors, heat gun, cutting mat, face mask or respiratior mask, sharpie or marker. Sign up jere!
