Artist Spotlight
This week, we are spotlighting Michael K. Davenport, who presented “Art, Authenticity & the Algorithm” at the Mark Arts Artist Bootcamp this last week. Michael is a visual artist and graphic designer, and creates acrylic paintings, mixed-media work, and installations about masculinity, vulnerability, and the queer experience.

Keep it Together ICT Presents: A Friend-Making Social Experience

We all know that making friends as adults can be hard. So what if meeting people didn’t feel random, awkward, or forced ... but instead felt structured, guided, and actually fun? Keep It Together is a fully designed social experience built to help you meet new people through games, conversations, and intentional connection moments.
Instead of walking into a room and wondering what to do, you’ll move through a curated flow of activities where talking happens naturally: fast-paced icebreakers, rotating group conversations with prompts, a “Who Said That” game where anonymous answers get revealed, a match reveal based on your submitted preferences, and a final group connection moment that brings everything together. No pressure. No awkward small talk wandering. Just structured social interaction that actually helps people connect.
What to expect
Every guest receives; a structured, guided social experience from start to finish, A custom Connection Card based on your form responses, A lanyard system that reflects social comfort levels during the event, Optional NFC Connection Bracelets (for instant digital sharing of socials, Spotify, websites, photos, and more).
This is not a dating app event or a matchmaking service. It is a structured friend-making experience designed for platonic connection, community building, and actually getting to know people in a way that doesn’t feel forced.
Whether you’re outgoing or more reserved, the entire night is designed so you can participate at your own pace and still connect meaningfully.

The Neighboring Movement Presents: National Good Neighbor Day Block Party

What does being a good neighbor look like on South Broadway?
At this year’s National Good Neighbor Day Block Party, Harvester Arts is bringing South Broadway Speaks — a new interactive storytelling experience created to lift up the voices of the people who call the South Broadway corridor home.
Neighbors will be invited to respond to questions like:
- Who has shown up for you here?
- What do people misunderstand about this neighborhood?
- What does being a good neighbor look like on South Broadway?
Share your story through a recording, written reflection, or youth drawing, and watch as some of those words and messages come to life throughout the day.
Because South Broadway is more than a corridor. It’s a neighborhood. It’s home. And its story belongs to the people who live here.

Armando Minjárez Monárrez: En Cuerpo Presente

Long before the rise of advertising, branding, and social media, empires understood that power had to be seen before it could be believed. Armando Minjárez Monárrez: En Cuerpo Presente explores how images become instruments of power. Monuments, rituals, architecture, souvenirs, advertisements, and brands across history have shaped not only how we see one another, but how we come to understand ourselves. Images do not simply reflect identity; they sanction it, circulate it, and assign value to it.
Rather than treating identity as something fixed or inherited, Minjárez Monárrez thinks of it as a cultural architecture constructed through images, memory, performance, and display. His sculptures inhabit the space between monument and commodity, artifact and souvenir, humor and critique. They resist fixed definitions of identity, not by offering alternative images, but by exposing the systems that produce them. If every society builds monuments to the stories it wants people to believe, En Cuerpo Presente asks what kinds of monuments we continue to build today, and what they ask us to believe about ourselves.
WAM’s Naftzger Family Regional Creatives Exhibition Series is dedicated to exhibiting art by local artists. This program is a partnership with Harvester Arts, a local nonprofit art organization fostering opportunities for Wichita creatives. Their core values of experimentation, capacity building, and community engagement are a framework for this partnership, which includes this exhibition space and programming with local creatives, including performances, talks, and pop-up experiences.
