Calligraphy of the Silent Battle by Tatiana Larsen

This October at Harvester Arts, Wichita-based artist Tatiana Larsen presents Calligraphy of the Silent Battle — a performance-installation where a weightlifting barbell becomes a brush and a wall becomes a witness. Each lift inscribes her struggle with invisible illness, creating a ten-foot calligraphic timeline of endurance, fragility, and survival.

INvulnerable Conditions

INvulnerable Conditions brings together works that explore the tension between softness and strength. Through states of fragility, resilience, and openness, the exhibition reflects on how vulnerability can both expose and empower. This show will feature works by Esme, Eden Quispe, Robyn Young, Sara Grant, Madison Mullen, Sierra Harvey, Kelsy Gossett Dennis, and Shelby R.

In Her Shoes: A Wichita Family Crisis Center Immersive Audio Experience

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October, experience Katie’s real-life story of domestic violence and sex trafficking. In this 8-minute audio journey, Katie, a survivor who worked with the Wichita Family Crisis Center, shares how she was drawn into a dangerous world of manipulation, drugs, and isolation. Her powerful story reveals both the devastating impact of trafficking and domestic violence, and the hope that comes through healing and support. Please note this story contains descriptions of trauma and abuse that may be difficult for some.

Please bring your headphones to hear Katie tell her story in her own words.
